Manitou Beach Historical Preservation Society
Investing in the future of our community by preserving the past.
Devils and Round Lake is a special place that has been locked into the memories of many people over the years. Whether it’s the great summers on the lake or ice fishing and snowmobiling in the winter, there are an endless stream of great memories that can last a life time.
Legend has it that if you have a great memory and never want to forget it, take a lock and lock it on the arch while thinking about the memory and it will be forever embedded in your memory.
You can purchase a lock in the village at Devils Lakeview Living, Lakeside Cafe, Trends Hair and Beauty Salon, or bring your own lock. The arch contains antique locks with personalized notes, store bought locks and ones that are blinged out.
The Lock Arch is located right next to the Devils Lake Inn at 110 Walnut Street, Manitou Beach, Michigan 49253. (The bottom left of the above photo)
